Everybody is so busy nowadays… Nonetheless, we at VICS are lucky enough to count on the help of caring and dedicated people who will squeeze their busy schedules in impossible ways to make sure that they will find time to help the children of Vila Isabel.
VICS wants to give them a heartfelt “thank you” and tell everyone who comes to this website how fundamental the work of our volunteers is: we wouldn’t be able to do it alone, guys.

Thanks a bunch!

Meet some of the volunteers and contributors that make it happen! You can also reach them by sending a message to charity@vilaisabel.org.

Want to help? Certainly there is a way to do so! Please, drop us a note through the same email (charity@vilaisabel.org) and we will make sure to get in touch with you ASAP.

Daniel Masuda Cortonesi

We love our website and we bet that so do you! That’s why we at VICS bound to Daniel Cortonesi who – amidst an inhumane schedule of assignments, exams and year-long studies in Vancouver - found time and energy to design and build our website.

Job well done, Daniel!

For the records: Daniel works with creation, webdesign development, animation and multimedia since 2000. Daniel recently came from London, UK, where he though webdesign for more than one year. He has an undergrad degree in multimedia and is currently studying 3D animation. Soon, Daniel is going to conquer the world of games, commercials and cinema. Just watch him!

Alexandre Santos

People one can count on – that’s what we meet the most while having the privilege to work at VICS. Alexandre is one of them and we are so thankful for – among others - his efforts to help with the First Bottle Drive for the Brazilian children. In particular, his hot chocolate in a cold winter day will stay in our hearts and minds forever.

Thanks, Alexandre!

Quico

We at VICS value each and every effort done for those at Vila Isabel – be it to watch for the entrance door while at a charitable event, help with the sorting of the refundable bottles or share their wisdom with us. It is an honor and a privilege to count on the support of contributors like our dear friend Quico.

Thanks buddy!

Natalia

Your help distribuiting many flyers of our 1st bottle drive and also during our garage sale was invaluable. Thanks for your enthusiasm and for your hand always willing to help. You are one of a kind!!

Elspeth Home

She is a very reliable and giving neighbour who, every 15 days helps Izabel to take all the bottes donated to Return It on West Broadway. Besides donating time and gas, Elspeth also gets her hands dirty when sorting out
the containers. It does make a diference when we find someone we can count on.

Rodolfo and family

As we called VICS band! Having you and your children playing Brazilian music on our Christmas dinner was wonderful. You made the
party a very special celebration of giving.

Dorival

For helping us find such a wonderful place to have our First Feijoada and
even more, for offering your culinary talent to prepare such a delicious Brazilian meal for VICS. Our event will be unforgetable! Thank you!

Those anonymous and big hearts out there

Every week dozens of people quietly drop by Izabel’s door, drop a bag of two of refundable bottles and walk away as silently as they came. At the end of the day, when Izabel opens her door what she sees are several plates of a balanced and nutritional soup that will heal the bodies and souls of the little ones in Brazil. What a privilege to live in such a caring neighborhood!

We thank you all for your generosity.
